Chau Tran '23

              to the strangers, you danced.

Sang to danger, screamed with strength

till the mind became the wall,

thing you could not pass.

Passion stranded:

              we chanted.

              to the lovers, you dance.

Luck uncovers, hands entwine.

To the bittersweet, you sway then swing.

Time turns into crime,

crushing our minds —

              no more pride.

              to the stranger, you dance.

Smile endangers, feet untwine for

the images are no longer there:

only the null, the roughness.

On the floor,

              we flare.
