Interstate
BY CHRISTIAN ALJIAN '24
night and day
on this withering
highway is endless
traffic that never stays
crashing and burning but
there's no remorse nor pain
nor hesitation nor delay for everyone
has things to do places to be and
no matter the place or time we
decay all the same before
our very own eyes as the sky rains down
lies in which we drown blindly but never die
for whether we try or not
the storm clouds will thrive without us
upon every strike of lightning
we don’t survive.
